Ugh...

I'm SO tired. I'm gonna assume it's the byproduct of a fibromyalgia flare up. There is really no excuse for the amount of fatigue I'm feeling right now. There are probably 12 things I should be doing right now. My bedroom looks like a tornado blew through there. My hair needs washing. I have clothes that need to be put away and that just the stuff off the top of my head. Ugh... Seriously ya'll is 6 p.m. too early for bed time?

P.S. Happy Birthday Miss R!

Where you been?

This ear infection has been HELL. I've been in bed for 2 weeks. I only worked 2 days of that 2 weeks. So you can imagine my next check is gonna be SWEET. My ears hurt, I randomly got a fever Thursday that would not break, and the antibiotics make me all sorts of nauseated. I've been a joy to be around the last 2 weeks. I did pull myself out of bed this morning to take my nephew to the circus. That was awesome. His little face lit up, between begging for all the overpriced swag being paraded about. Seriously ya'll $12 for a bag of cotton candy! We saw lions and elephants and much to my surprise the Ringmaster was a black guy. What?! He's the first in Ringling Brothers history! I was super excited about that.

Trust me he's black. Sequins and lighting...

I was good to get out. My ears did start aching halfway through the second half but I put on a brave face. Keisey helped me forget the pain by leaning over and whispering to me, "Lala I wish the elephants could talk". Cuteness.

So that's where I've been hiding.

P.S. Happy 28th Birthday S!!!

P.P.S. Happy 4th Birthday Keisey!! Auntie Lala loves you and I'm soooo happy you loved the circus on your birthday.

Sweatpants, Reading Glasses and a House Marathon

I did absolutely nothing this weekend. That isn't an exaggeration. I got out of bed, played around on Farmville and went back to bed, repeat on Sunday. Yesterday I felt sort of unproductive but that feeling soon passed. I didn't even go to my nephew's soccer game this afternoon. I feel kinda bad about that but he didn't even play today because he didn't feel like it. I did discover that I need my reading glasses more than I thought. I'm not thrilled about that in the least bit. Yeah so that's pretty much it. What, if anything, did ya'll do this weekend?

Spring has Sprung

Yesterday was the first day of spring. You know what that means? My super awesome seasonal allergies have somehow found their way back. I got a break for 2 or 3 years because we really didn't have really definitive seasons here in Richmond, VA. This year and the end of last year have been nothing short of extra. During the winter it snowed, I know you are probably saying "yeah so what it's winter, it snows" snow in the Cap City is special. We get a light dusting and the entire city goes to batshit. Not an exaggeration, we hysterically run into the streets and scream and then we buy bread. So this year with 3 weekends of 6 or more inches or snow...yeah. Now that spring is here it's decided to keep with tradition and be extra too. Everything is blooming and cars are starting to get that yellowy dusting of pollen. Yup fun.

Today was no exception it was warm with a nice breeze blowing all the pollen around. But I said "Allergies be damned" and decided to go see my oldest (by 5 whole months) nephew play his first soccer game. If you've never seen 3 and 4 year olds play soccer, I highly suggest you put it on your list of things to do before you die. I was comedy at it's finest. They basically put on their little cleats and shin guards and run around for 30 minutes, often in the wrong direction as the parents and other family look on yelling "YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY" or "NO DON'T TOUCH THE BALL, JUST KICK".

He's Number 7, SOOOO CUTE

I cannot wait for the next game they were all so adorable. So I've stocked up on Zyrtec and I'm ready to take on the season. I hope ya'll do the same. :)

Allow Me To Re-introduce Myself...

Sunday was nothing short of awesome. I haven't been to a concert in YEARS, seriously ya'll YEARS. Need proof? Okay the last concert I went to was the New Edition Reunion show and even that was a bust. Fifteen minutes into the opening act by 702 (remember them?) the Richmond Coliseum had an electrical fire so me and the bestie were left sitting confused until a random concerned concert-goer told us we ought to leave (there weren't any visible flames just lots of smoke that for a moment had confused most of the other concert goers). Told you was forever ago!

Anywho me and the friends piled into a car and headed on down to Norfolk to see none other than Jay-Z. This was the first time I'd spent $100+ on a concert ticket so I was hoping for a good concert. It exceeded all of my expectations. Our seats were great, I got to laugh at all of the hot messes who obviously got dressed in the dark, I got to tweet/Facebook/BBM during the Trey Songz and Jeezy (not huge fans of those guys but they did their thing), and yeah Jay-Z. If you ever get to see him in concert, no matter the price, just GO!
